Karen is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and has over 25 years of experience in the management of commercial real estate. She joined Commonweal in 1992. Since joining Commonweal she has pursued and received the Certified Property Manager (CPM) and CCIM designations. In addition to her professional accomplishments she serves as a Board Supervisor for the Town of Washington, is Chair of the Town of Washington Plan Commission, and a member of Eau Claire County Board of Land Use Appeals. In 2017 she was invited to serve on the Zoning Ordinance Update Oversight & Professional Committees for the Eau Claire County Planning & Development Department, and the Chippewa Valley Museum Board.

Pablo Center at the Confluence - in 2016 I joined the development team and worked closely with stakeholders to secure funding which included new market tax credit financing. The Pablo Center opened in September 2018. Once open my involvement in the project transitioned to assisting the property owner with asset and board management and new market tax credit financing compliance, and the operator with facilities management.
